Are you passionate about energy efficiency and sustainability?

We are on the hunt for a proactive and enthusiastic Energy Efficiency Graduate to join our team for a two-year, fixed-term role.

This position, partly funded by the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), offers a unique opportunity to drive meaningful change across Council facilities and contribute to significant energy savings.

**About the role | Ko te mahi nei**
- Develop and support initiatives to reduce energy consumption, focusing on lighting, space and heating.
- Manage the Fault Detection Diagnostics (FDD) facility—tracking faults, issuing work orders, and ensuring resolution.
- Identify energy-saving opportunities through Building Management Systems (BMS), energy consumption data, and site visits, calculate potential savings, and build business cases for investment.
- Review and refine control methodologies and system settings to enhance occupant comfort, optimize energy efficiency, and reduce consumption.
- Assist the BMS team with system performance monitoring after project handovers, reporting on defects or necessary system tuning.
- Help manage system performance data and support the team with asset management tasks, ensuring accurate as-built documentation.
- Ensure timely submission of progress reports to EECA, meeting all deadlines for project milestones.
- Work closely with the wider team to improve energy efficiency across the Council and contribute to the team's overall performance.

**About you | Ko Koe Tēnei**
- A recent graduate with a degree in Energy Management, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of energy efficiency principles, with an interest in electrical systems, heating and/or lighting
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret energy data and identify optimization opportunities.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills, comfortable collaborating across departments.
- Detail-oriented, with good organizational skills and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.
