H&s Advisor

**About the role**:
We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and motivated **H&S Advisor** to our Fibre Supply Team based in our Rotorua office.

Reporting to the Fibre Procurement Operations Manager, you will need to show initiative and the capacity to influence others. You should have a track record of making sound judgments and decisions, be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be someone who focuses on finding solutions and delivering results. You are a creative thinker who is dedicated to continuous improvement, possess a flexible attitude and relishes working in a busy and challenging environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead, support and implement Health and Safety, through the coordination, and support of policies, procedures, safety initiatives and systems.
- Identify, understand and effectively manage Health & Safety risks in our operations.
- Co-ordinate and maintain safety training programs across all sites.
- Measure safety performance improvement.
- Assist and participate in H&S and site safety meetings, along with contributing to the group’s projects.
- Conduct incident investigations and audit operations to identify and control H&S risk.
- Identify and implement safety initiatives that will have a positive influence on productivity.

**You will bring to the role**:

- Relevant qualification and forest industry contractor management & safety experience.
- Strong attention to detail with a proactive structured approach to H&S management.
- The ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation, including contractor management.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite and preferably experience with Risk Manager (H&S management system).
