Teaching - Primary (Education & Training) We seek a teacher with an interest in working within a specialist school environment, teaching ākonga with a wide range of special needs, including autism. This role would be invaluable for a teacher looking to develop a highly sought after specialist skill set. Rosehill is a large, multicultural specialist school based in South Auckland. We place a strong focus on providing active learning opportunities, applying learning in real settings and culturally inclusive teaching across the curriculum. A wide range of experience in either a specialist school or experience teaching ākonga with ORS funding is important and would be beneficial. Managing a team of 3 teacher aides, and working collaboratively with therapists is part of this position. We offer a full induction programme, a fun, positive and supportive school culture and ongoing professional development. The terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Primary Teachers' Collective Agreement. The base salary for trained and registered teachers will range from $59,027 to $99,216, depending on the applicant’s qualifications and experience. Individuals' actual base salary will be established by a salary assessment once a role is confirmed. School visits are welcomed.
