The role In this office-based role as a TraineeNetwork Controller, you will role model success in several technical and peoplefunctions such as:

- Support the shift Network Controller with maintaining accuraterecords of all calls taken, reported faults, HV switching, system alarms,load control switching, and the location of line staff working on or nearthe distribution system - Monitor the loading of the reticulation system and make necessaryadjustments as required - Allocate fault repair tasks to the faults team and liaise with theInspection Team when necessary - Support the Planning Team with any overflow of workload - Perform any other duties as reasonably required.

Who we’re looking for You may be a qualifiedElectrician looking for a different career pathway, a graduate engineer who hasa keen interest in the electricity distribution industry or someone in anexisting electricity distribution role looking for a new challenge. As aTrainee Network Controller, you will naturally present with great character,have an aptitude in computer literacy, an eagerness to want to learn and workin a team environment.

As well as the above, weare looking for people who possess the following:

- A good understanding of computer systems - The ability to openly and clearly communicate on a RadioTransmitter or Telephone - Ability to work effectively under pressure and be able to do shiftwork. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
