Students achieve exceptional NCEA results at a level comparable with the highest performing NZ schools and excel in sports, music, arts and cultural endeavours, and outdoor education. The school, which has an Anglican tradition, was founded by the legacy of benefactor James Dilworth in 1906 and has grown to be the largest boarding school in Australasia. The school is funded by an endowment which is administered by the Dilworth Trust Board, a significant owner of commercial and industrial property in New Zealand. Dilworth school provides a safe and inclusive environment and has gone through an extensive period of change over the last four years. In 2022 the school was awarded Child Wise Accreditation, the only school in Aotearoa, New Zealand to have achieved this level of Child Safeguarding. Dilworth's scholarship is the gift of opportunity for young men who want to get ahead in life and be the very best they can be. The school is seeking to fill a full-time position as a Health and Physical Education Specialist to commence in Term 3. The role is primarily based at the Junior Campus in Remuera, teaching students in Years 7 and 8 - but those who have the appropriate experience/qualifications could also teach at more senior levels. You will strive to consistently improve student outcomes through challenging and creative content, an engaging teaching style and a contemporary understanding of your teaching subject.
