Qualifications and Experience Teaching degree (at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent) with a current NZ registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand Strong ability to use initiative to solve problems, find efficiencies and introduce new ideas Ideally experience in a secondary school Skills and Competence Demonstrates ability to communicate to parents, teachers, Head of Departments, School Counsellors, and students in a diverse community Demonstrates commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership Ability to develop a learning/pastoral environment that fosters creativity and excellence Collaborates and communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing with a wide variety of people Proven ability in mentoring and coaching students, prefects, and student leaders Provides high quality, evidence-based reporting ensuring opportunities, risks and preferred recommendations provide guidance for good decision making Equal Opportunity Employer: King’s College is an equal opportunity employer.
