The applicant can be based in Christchurch, Dunedin, or Queenstown, though preferably Christchurch as we have an office based there.
The role involves travel to sites across the South Island.

THE POSITION: This is a varied role which requires a strong leader.
As Senior Project Manager, you will manage all day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple and large-scale projects.
This will include liaising with the client, subcontractors, factory and installation staff to ensure a coordinated approach to the projects.
Day-to-day project management duties will include managing staff and subcontractors, informal reporting, ensuring best use of resources, reviewing high-level deliverables, implementing new initiatives, ensuring projects are completed to agreed timeframes, inspecting projects, recruiting, training and mentoring staff; and more.

From specialist QS teams, joiners, cabinetmakers, fabricators, finishers and detailers, through to the on-site project managers, shopfitters and finishing carpenters, we all understand the pressured and technical nature of interior construction.

ABOUT YOU: The successful candidate will be an experienced Project Manager, preferably within a similar joinery-related industry in New Zealand.
You will be analytical with an eye for detail and risk, have excellent financial knowledge and communication skills, have impeccable time management and the ability to optimise systems and processes and deliver significant cost saving and efficiency gains to the business.
You will know how to be firm but fair, possess diplomacy and emotional intelligence, and have a positive go-getter attitude.
