Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Full time We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Food Production Manager to oversee our production processes and ensure the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and output.
This role offers a unique chance to lead a committed team, drive meaningful improvements, and make a lasting impact.
What You'll Do: Operational Excellence: Plan and execute production goals that align with company objectives.
Manage schedules and daily activities to achieve quality and production targets consistently.
Process Optimization & Compliance: Streamline processes to boost efficiency, monitor workflow and machine use, and maintain high-quality standards.
Cost Control & Quality Assurance: Oversee production to minimise waste and costs while upholding all safety, quality, and operational standards.
Team Leadership & Development: Inspire and lead the production team, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
Conduct safety training and planning meetings to ensure a proactive, safety-focused culture.
Production Planning & Coordination: Keep inventory and stock levels aligned with production needs, update senior management on production status, and address issues before they impact output.
What We’re Looking For: Experience: At least 3 years in food production management with a proven track record in optimising processes and achieving production goals.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of NZ Food Safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, and sanitation standards.
Skills: Expertise in production scheduling, process optimisation, and data analysis; proficiency in Excel; and familiarity with SAP or similar systems.
Leadership: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide the team and engage effectively across the organisation.
Flexibility: Willingness to be on-site for different shifts to support and oversee team operations.
