Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Motel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our motel.
As the manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of all aspects of the motel, including guest satisfaction, staff management, and financial performance.
Motel Description: 4 Star Motel in Central Queenstown
 
As the Motel Manager, you will not only oversee daily operations but also have the chance to shape the guest experience, build a talented team, and drive financial success.

Responsibilities:


Administering and coordinating front-office duties, room service andhousekeeping dutiesï· Assigning duties to motel personnel, evaluating staff performance andensuring making sure that they adhere to company rules and regulationsï· Managing motel facilities and enforcing strict compliance with health andsafety standardsï· Overseeing security arrangements and maintenance of the motel facilitiesï· Conferring and cooperating with motel personnel for the Lodgeâs optimumefficiency, responding to queries regarding motel services and policiesï· Planning and collaborating with suppliers, travel agencies, event/conferenceplanners and other relevant external partiesï· Managing budget and financial activitiesï· Promoting and marketing the businessï· Providing tourist information and facilitating booking tours if requiredï· Evaluating customer feedback, complaints and needsï· Interviewing, hiring and training motel staffï· Any other duties as may be reasonable requiredï· Entire Motel Managementï· Property Management (Repair & Maintenance)

ï§ Room Rate updatesï§ Responding to emails and relevant requestsï§ Responding to guest requestsï§ Responding to guest messages on OTA'sï§ Supplementing the housekeeping team on a daily basisï§ Supplementing the reception team at Melbourne Lodge 
ï· Guest Relations, managing:ï§ Bookingsï§ Complaintsï§ Complimentsï§ Requestsï§ Arranging activities, bookingsï§ Airport transfersï§ All other guest requests
ï· Night Duties, After hours:
ï§ Answering the phone callsï§ Guest requestsï§ Guest Complaintsï§ Room Repair & Maintenanceï§ Check-ins & Check-outsï§ Selling roomsï§ All other matters that require your attendance after-hours
ï· Reporting:
ï§ Consistent reporting to myself (Himalaya) of all matters takingplace at your place of employment

Onsite Accommodation:
Our company will provide you On-site accommodation at Melbourne Lodge only for the time you are employed by MLQT Limited.ï· Your accommodation rental will be covered by our company.
This compensation is in exchange for the after-hours employment you are required to provide to the business/property.ï· Your Utilities Expenses will be subsidized by our company.
Your contribution is $100 per week.
Your contribution only covers a portion ofthe expenses ie.
- Internet, water, electricity, gas etc.

Qualifications:

Minimum 18 months experience in motel or hotel management is required
Tertiary level qualification in Businesss or Management
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle guest concerns and complaints
Solid organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Proficient in computer systems and hotel management software
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet
Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
A high level of integrity and professionalism
