Description We have an opportunity available for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our Green Team based on the Kaiwiakawe Windfarm Project in Dargaville.
This is a fixed term role until April.
This role will be responsible for managing the upgrade of the transportation route between Marsden Point port and the Windfarm, upgrading the roading infrastructure to facilitate the ongoing construction and the transportation of plant and equipment including the turbines.
Come join the Higgins Team: This role is site based so would either suit someone local to Northland or willing to relocate, support will be provided.
Project Accommodation available for those open to short term relocation.
Be part of a significant infrastructure project in Northland.
Opportunity to be involved in the full project lifecycle, project due to commence January.
Work alongside an experienced team on site.

What you’ll bring to the role:5+ years experience as a Project Engineer on civils and roading projects.
Proven roading project experience ideally with safety improvement/infrastructure upgrade project delivery.
Prior project experience overseeing roading, earthworks and pavement construction.
A tertiary qualification in Engineering (NZDCE or BEng Civils or similar).
A strong focus on cost control and quality outcomes.
Understanding of the Construction Contracts Act and the knowledge to apply NZS is desirable.
Experience managing project resources including materials and teams/crews is favourable.
Excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with stakeholders and clients.
