About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Engineer to join our vibrant and driven water team based in either Auckland or Wellington to strengthen our Electrical Discipline across New Zealand and deliver our forward program of projects. You will be joining this busy team to deliver challenging, multimillion-dollar and multi-disciplinary projects across New Zealand, Australia, North America and the UK. This is a great opportunity for someone highly qualified and experienced as it offers the chance to demonstrate your technical skills, fulfil project leadership roles and mentor and grow our junior design resources locally and across the globe. Additionally, You Will Work on exciting, challenging and cutting-edge water, sustainability and bioenergy projects across NZ and globally. Lead the delivery of Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Automation work packages, working together with junior Engineers. Collaborate with and guide other disciplines engineers on multidisciplinary projects. Have client-facing opportunities and site work which offers variety in daily tasks. Be supported by a team of Electrical Designers, CAD and Graduate Engineers across countries. What You Will Bring You will have extensive technical experience in aspects of Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls and Automation Engineering for infrastructure and industrial projects, preferably with a focus on water and wastewater. You will be a leader within your field and contribute to mentoring others. You also have outstanding relationship management skills and have experience collaborating and working with a range of internal and external stakeholders including local authorities, clients, and partner companies. You can take responsibility for professional judgment at various project stages and communicate your assumptions to others. Other attributes that will help you succeed in the role Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline. Proven record of technical delivery of water infrastructure projects. A versatile attitude to dynamic project delivery scenarios. Solid knowledge of L. V. power systems and standards in NZ or Australia. 10 years engineering experience preferably in consulting roles.
