Thai Chefs

We are seeking two Thai Chefs to join our team.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of related work experience OR• A minimum of NZ Register Level 4 qualification, which may substitute for experience (overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification) OR• The National Skill Standard Testing Level 1 (Thai Cook or Thai Chef) from Thailand
AND
• Knowledge of Thai food ingredients• Familiarity with Thai food cooking techniques
Job Description:
• Creating menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies• Monitoring dish quality from preparation to serving• Collaborating with Managers, Dietitians, and kitchen and service staff on food-related matters• Providing guidance on cooking methods and demonstrating techniques• Actively participating in food preparation and cooking• Ensuring compliance with hygiene standards• Possibly responsible for staff selection and training• Able to freeze and preserve food items when necessary
Other Details:
• Full-time and permanent position• Wage payment is $29.66 per hour, with weekly pay• Holiday pay and sick leave will be provided according to the law• Location: 240 Stanmore Road, Richmond, Christchurch• Operating hours: Tuesday to Saturday, Lunch 11:30 am – 2:00 pm, Tuesday to Sunday, Dinner 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm• Work schedule: 5 - 6 days per week on a roster, with a guaranteed minimum of 30 hours (maximum of 48 hours)
