About the Role (your why)The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for applying effective analysis, design, programming and testing skills to produce software systems.
This role involves assisting with the technical direction of projects.
Our office is based in Wellington and we like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/life balance.
We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works bestWhat you'll bring We are seeking two C# Software Engineers to contribute to the modernisation of legacy systems into microservices on EKS and a recently developed cloud platform.
Skills required Strong C# and.
Net Core development skills Proven experience with Microservices development for cloud native platforms and delivering apps to run on Docker/Kubernetes (AWS EKS or similar).
Experience in CI/CD practices; particularly using and developing automated pipelines to provide fast feedback on code quality and security Capability to design and implement Microservices i.e.
breaking down monolithic business processes, designing and building de-coupled, re-usable component-based systems.
Proven experience working in an Agile and/or Dev Ops environment Effective verbal and written skills.
Skilled at communicating complex information effectively to a range of different audiences.
Effective presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to challenge, persuade and influence.
Would be good to have: An understanding of banking and accounting processes and models.
Understanding Payment Cards Industry regulations, i.e PCI-DSSExperience of contract first design of APIs using formats such as Open API/Swagger for API descriptions and OAuth / zero trust design principles for authentication.
