About The position
We are looking for 1 experience cook for our busy Mediterranean restaurant in Matamata.
You will be expected to work 5 days per week and will be on rotating roaster.
Wewkly hours: 35-40 hours
Availability to work on weekends , early morning, evenings and public holidays.
Hourly rate minimum $28 maximum: 30
From time-to-time, you my be asked to do overtime.
 The Position
This varied role will suit an experienced cook witrh an eye for detail and an ability to work in a fast paced environment.
Job Resposibilities 
Prepare , Cook, and serve quality food to customers.
Assist in meal planning
Follow instructions and make meals per restaurant recipe.
Place food on plates in a presentable manner.
Ensure customer's dietary requirements are met.
Order supplies and oversee stock management.
Comply with New Zealand Food Safety Standards.
Ability to manage and lead a kitchen team.
antain a clean and tidy workspace.
Train new kitchen staff if required.
Skilld and Experience
2 years of work experience in a commercial kitchen environment.
Knowledge of Mediterranean cusine is advantage.
Food Hygiene training is preferred.
understanding of food allergens.
Knowledge of food hygiene and food storage.
knowledge of sanitation management.
Understanding of health and safety procedures.
The Ideal candidates will need excellet verbal communication skills, a strong work ethic, be a team player, be reliable and punctual, and skills.
