Kitchenhands

Lake View Seafood Restaurant in Wanaka provides authentic Chinese cuisine, especially Chinese-style seafood dishes.
We are now looking for 2 full-time kitchen hands to join our team.
This is a full-time permanent position with an immediate start, working 30-40 hours per week on a roster (minimum 30 hours guaranteed).
We open 7 days a week until late, so please be aware that you may need to work nights, weekends, and public holidays.
You will need to assist kitchen and service staff in preparing and serving food, and clean food preparation and service areas.
Your duties will include:

Cleaning kitchens, food preparation areas, and sculleries
Cleaning cooking and general utensils used in kitchens and restaurants
Transferring, weighing, and checking supplies and equipment
Assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking
Packing food and beverage trays for serving
Cooking, toasting, and heating simple food items
Any other duty that may be assigned by the owner

Relevant work experience or qualifications are preferred but not essential.
Skills, experience, knowledge, or qualifications in preparing and cooking Chinese food will be advantageous.
We provide basic training when you start the job.
