Forklift Driver

This is a permanent full-time role working for a New Zealand owned and operated company in the scrap metal industry, you will be working in various sites, with weekly guaranteed hours at least 30 and a gross hourly pay rate between $26.69 and $29.66.
In this role you will be part of a successful team, learning all sorts of skills in different construction sites and as part of this team you will be responsible for delivering the highest quality workmanship.
Job Duties:
Operate controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack items in warehouses, factories, timer yards and shipping terminals.
Operate forklifts which run on rails or use electronic guidance systems to control movements in narrow aisles.
Transport goods to designed areas in yard.
Ensure goods are stores in correct areas so that they can be easily located when orders are made up.
Monitor equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerised monitoring equipment.
Inspect and control equipment to identify wear and damage.
Service and perform minor repairs and adjustments to forklifts.
Experience: At least three year experience in the same industry.
Good physical fitness.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Must be able to pass a drug test.
Must have a valid driver license, international license is also accepted.
