The Mental Health and Addiction Services at Te Whatu Ora, Te Tai Tokerau are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join Te Roopu Whitiora (Adult Kaupapa Māori Service).
Te Roopu Whitiora provides a specialist kaupapa Māori service for Māori between the ages of 18 – 65 years old using a blend of both clinical and cultural approaches with a strong emphasis on equity.
This is a permanent role based in Whangārei New Zealand with travel to rural regions.
We encourage applications from Consultant Psychiatrists with a strong interest in working within a Kaupapa Māori environment, registrar teaching/supervision, and leadership of clinical teams.
Minimum Requirements:
To be considered, you must have or be eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in either a vocational or locum tenens special purpose Psychiatry scope of practice.
FRANZCP and/or postgraduate qualifications are preferred, but we are also happy to hear from those near completion of their studies.
If you are currently overseas/not yet registered, we can assist you with the application process to obtain MCNZ registration.
