About the Role
The Regional Lead Mental Health and Addiction is responsible for providing strong leadership to the mental health and addiction sector in the Te Manawa Taki region, motivating and inspiring local and regional mental health and addiction clinical and operational leaders to ensure the delivery of safe, high-quality care, to meet performance targets and objectives, and to build a high performing mental health and addictions system that delivers improved outcomes for patients.
This role is part of the Te Manawa Taki region's Deputy Chief Executive Leadership team, formulating and supporting Health New Zealand's future direction and contributing to the performance of the Te Manawa Taki region in delivering safe and effective care.
The position will work closely with the National Clinical Lead Mental Health and Addiction to ensure the effectiveness and appropriateness of clinical and non-clinical services provided by the mental health and addiction workforce.
About You

An experienced leader in Mental Health and Addiction, with at least 10 years experience working in the New Zealand public health system.
Competent with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Demonstrated experience in leading improvement in service delivery.
The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships and networks across the region.
