If you’re passionate about food and enjoy working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, we’d love to hear from youChefs Job duties of the position offered–- Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation- Discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures- Preparing and cooking food- Explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations- May select and train staff- May freeze and preserve foods Requirements of the position offered -- Either minimum 1 year of work experience, or relevant level 2 or 3 qualification- Be available to work on weekends and public holidays as per the roster- Flexibility to work within a 7-Days a week operation including split shifts- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and team spirit
Cook Job duties of the position offered–
- Examining foodstuffs to ensure quality                                                                                            - Regulating temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment                                    - Seasoning food during cooking                                                                                                        - Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes                    - Storing food in temperature controlled facilities                                                                            - Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements                                                                  - May plan menus and estimate food requirements                                                                        - May train other kitchen staff and apprentices                                                                                - Preparing and cooking food                                                                                             Requirements of the position offered -- Either minimum 1 year of work experience, or relevant level 2 or 3 qualification- Be available to work on weekends and public holidays as per the roster- Flexibility to work within a 7-Days a week operation including split shifts- Be able to work in a fast-paced environment with good communication skills and team spirit
Kitchen Hand duties of the position offered–-Wash utensils, dishes and return to the kitchen and make sure they are stored appropriately.-Clean food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas.-packing food and beverage trays for serving-Dispose of rubbish.-Follow all hygiene and Health and Safety regulations within the kitchen.
Food Preparation-Assist the Chef in the preparation and cooking of food, as required.-Follow direction toward portion control, cooking standards and wastage-Maintain a positive and motivated work ethic in the kitchen at all times.-Handle, sort, store and distribute food items.-Follow instructions from the Chef or nominee.-Any other duties the employer may reasonably require.
Requirements of the position offered - This role is an entry level position with no qualifications, skills and experience required as all training will be provided on the job.
