Chef

Our client, based in Auckland is currently seeking experienced chefs to join the team. Minimum of 30 and a maximum of 40  hours/week guaranteed.  NZ $ 28.00 - $ 30.00 per hour The ideal candidates should have a passion for food, the ability to thrive under pressure, and be committed and reliable. Minimum 2 years of experience required. Your duties will include, but not be limited to: ·         Preparing and cooking food for takeaway and restaurant ·         Examining each dish for quantity, quality, presentation, and correct temperature ·         Correct portioning (serving size) of the food, adding sauces and gravies. ·         Seasoning and garnishing the dishes ·         Controlling the temperatures of the cooking equipment, ovens, and grills ·         Follow the instructions and prepare the food as per the dietary requirements ·         Storing the food at the required temperatures ·         To assist in ordering the inventory and maintaining the stock levels ·         Suggest new dishes and assist in planning the menu ·         Keeping the work areas always clean, hygienic, and tidy ·         Ensure kitchen compliance meets all health and safety regulations Job Requirements ·         At least 2 years  of relevant experience in a commercial kitchen ·         Time management skills and the ability to work under pressure ·         Innovative and Creative ·         Physically fit and hard working ·         Willing to work from 10 AM to 10 PM Monday to Sunday & Weekends must. ·         Availability during late night closing, Weekends, Public Holidays, and during Christmas and New Year's Break If you can demonstrate these attributes, we would like to hear from you.
