We are seeking a skilled Developer Programmer to join our engineering team in Auckland to design and develop innovative software solutions that drive our telecom and cloud platforms forward. About the Role As a Developer Programmer at Unicom, you will build enterprise-grade applications supporting our network, cloud, and data systems. You will collaborate closely with system architects and ICT teams to develop robust backend services, APIs, and data integration frameworks for high-availability environments. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in backend development, database optimization, and emerging technologies such as AI-driven data assistants and blockchain applications. Key Responsibilities 1.         Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications using Java or Python. 2.         Build and optimize APIs to integrate telecommunication and ICT systems (OSS/BSS, CRM, ERP). 3.         Develop data processing modules leveraging My SQL, Mongo DB, and Elasticsearch. 4.         Participate in system architecture design, code reviews, and performance tuning. 5.         Support cloud deployment and Dev Ops activities (AWS / Azure). 6.         Contribute to AI integration projects utilizing LLM and automation frameworks (e.g., Lang Chain). 7.         Ensure software security, scalability, and documentation standards are met. Skills & Experience： Essential: Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. 2+ years experience in backend or enterprise software development. Strong proficiency in Java and/or Python development frameworks (Spring Boot, Flask, etc.). Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design. Experience with relational and No SQL databases (My SQL, Mongo DB, Elasticsearch). Familiarity with Linux environments and API integration principles. Preferred: Experience with telecommunication or cloud platform projects. Exposure to AI/LLM technologies or automation frameworks (Lang Chain preferred).
