Duties

Reading and interpreting blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings
Measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembling wood and other materials to construct various structures and components on the construction site
Selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts
Using hand and power tools such as saws, hammers, drills, levels, and measuring tapes to carry out carpentry tasks
Assembling and fastening materials to make framework or props
Erecting framework and roof framing, laying sub-flooring and floorboards
Installing structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim
Building or repairing doors, frameworks, floors, and other wooden fixtures used in buildings
Verifying trueness of structure, using plumb bob and level
Following safety regulations and project specifications to maintain a safe working environment and comply with standards
Keeping the work area clean and organized, minimizing hazards and optimizing productivity
Working efficiently and meeting project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship

Key Requirements
·       Proven experience as a Carpenter or similar role, preferably minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience or a level 4 qualification in Carpentry
·       Proficient in using hand and power tools
·       Strong attention to detail and accuracy
·       Physical stamina and strength to handle manual labour tasks
·       Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
·       Good communication skills
·        Hardworking and punctuality
·        Previous experience and skills in building townhouses and terraced houses are highly appreciated
