Our vision is clear: “Supporting hapū māmā, mātua taiohi, their whānau and pēpi to grow, thrive, and be rangatira within their community, whānau, hapū, and iwi.”We are seeking a passionate and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to play a vital role in our organization.
The CFO will work closely with our Finance Manager and accounts coordinator to ensure operational efficiency and safeguard our financial health.
This position serves as a key liaison between our CEO and finance team, providing high-level oversight to strengthen our financial operations.
Core Competencies: Extensive strategic planning experience within a kaupapa Māori/iwi health and social service context.
Proven ability to advise senior management teams and Trustees on financial structures.
Cultural competence and commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
Experience delivering quality work under tight deadlines.
Strong capability in financial reporting and collaborative teamwork.
Knowledge of government planning, budget cycles, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in finance-related systems (e.g., Xero, payroll, financial reporting tools).
Strategic and analytical thinking with a focus on operational initiatives and process improvements.
Excellent communication skills and a consultative approach.
