We need a cook for our restaurant and need to fulfil the bellow requirements: Duties and Responsibilities

 To prepare, cook and season food according to standard recipes/menu
 Working in line with the instructions of Head Chef and Senior Chefs to prepare authentic Indian / Middle Eastern / Indo Chinese dishes and curries
 Ensuring food is prepared in line with Kitchen quality standards
 Checking and monitoring temperatures of cooking and applying right cooking methods
 Seasoning dishes, preparing ingredients for cooking
 Portioning food, placing it on plates, and adding gravies, sauces and garnishes
 Storing food in temperature-controlled facilities
 Maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
 Ensure all health and safety and food safety management procedures are maintained to the required standards
 To undertake any other duties as requested to ensure smooth running of the kitchen

Qualifications, experience and skills required:

 Relevant qualification and /or Relevant Experience in similar role of at least 3 year
 Should be able to work unsupervised
 Flexible to work extra hours/ shift work when required and must be able to work on weekends, long weekends as required
 Ability to prepare and present Traditional food items for vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes in a Multi-cuisine and busy environment
 Ability to maintain personal hygiene
 The candidate must hold an NZ work permit or be a NZ Citizen/Resident to apply.
