Primary and intermediate (Years 1–8) / kura tuatahi, Certificated teacher Subjects: English, Health and Physical Education, Learning Languages, Mathematics and Statistics, Science, Social Sciences, Technology, Te Reo Māori, The Arts.
Our beautiful rural school based at Mararoa, The Key to the Lakes and gateway to Fiordland, is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and passionate principal release teacher for our Y5-8 class.
Our staff, students, parents/caregivers, and friends of the school interact as one large family.
We are passionate, enthusiastic, lifelong learners who work to ensure our students are actively engaged and motivated within their learning programmes.
Staff and students are respectful in their interactions as they live out our School Values of Respecting themselves, the environment, and others.
Mararoa is a school where children learn to take responsibility and risks for themselves in a safe environment.
They are supported and surrounded by their extended ‘family’ on their own Key Learning for Life’s Journey.
Our Y7–8 students participate in a full and varied leadership programme to further develop and consolidate their skills, including various camps and community programmes.

There is also an opportunity to take on additional classroom release in the school.
