Rumi Restaurant is a vibrant, high-quality Persian restaurant located in the heart of Parnell, Auckland. We specialise in authentic Persian flavours, modern presentation, and top-level customer experience. We are expanding our kitchen team and seeking two experienced Chefs to join us Responsibilities: Prepare and execute traditional Persian dishes with precision and consistency. Maintain high standards of food quality, flavour, presentation, and portion control. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Manage kitchen inventory, stock rotation, and ordering supplies. Uphold hygiene, food safety, and Health & Safety standards at all times. Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and special events. Train and support junior kitchen team members. Qualifications & Experience Minimum 2 years of commercial experience as a Chef. Culinary diploma or cooking qualification (or equivalent). Experience with Persian or Middle Eastern cuisine preferred (not essential for fast learners). Strong organisational and multitasking skills. Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and teamwork abilities. Must be available for evenings, weekends, and public holidays. Benefits Salary $60,000–$70,000 depending on experience. Professional development and training opportunities.
