Company Overview: Keene Consulting is dynamic start-up based in Hamilton, specialising in providing Project Management and Development Management services to clients across Waikato, Auckland and Wellington regions. As a small company, we offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to make a significant impact early in the companies’ history.
We work on public infrastructure, private land development and commercial developments.
Within these areas there are currently stormwater projects, ferry terminals, subdivisions, large scale masterplanning, rail station upgrades and more. Role Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a proven track record in successfully leading and delivering projects.
The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of project management expertise, a well-established professional network, and the ability to hit the ground running.
You will be picking up several projects that are already underway, across various phases, with full handover support. Responsibilities: Bringing your authentic self to work. Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
Utilise industry best practices to develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring projects stay on track.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and teammates.
Leverage existing network to foster business development opportunities.
Engage with and mentor junior staff.
Take part in discussions with colleagues about industry trends, risk areas, innovation and contracts. Requirements: Proven experience as a Project Manager (Diverse experiences and qualifications are welcomed)Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage external teams and client relationships.
Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Be a Gritty operator (you don’t run away from the problem project)Exceptional organisational and problem-solving skills.
Be on time and reliable.
Adept at utilising project management tools and methodologies.
