AFA Home Improvements and Landscaping is looking for a few carpenters to join our company. 
In this role you will work on a range of building sites and be responsible for cutting, framing, interpretation of blueprints and a wide range of carpentry and construction tasks.

 
What youâll do
·       Knowledge of cutting materials and assembling them
·       Reading and interpreting blueprints of architectural drawings and specifications
·       Determining materials required, measurements and equipment procedures
·       Tacking frontage panels and retracting roofs
·       Effectively utilising methods, tools and equipment used in carpentry
·       Assembling prepared wood to form structures and fittings ready to install
·       Fitting exterior wall shield and door and window frames
·       Repair existing fittings, structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, wall board and other materials
·       Validating genuineness of structures after laying sub-flooring and floorboards
·       Establishing structures and roof framing
What are we looking for

Early morning starts, depending on season
At least three years of experience in carpentry on construction sites.

Ability to work efficiently as a team player
Demonstrate the knowledge of timber workmanship.
Leadership abilities and positive attitude
Be reliable and dependable
Health and safety and compliance-focused
Excellent time management skills
Full clean NZ driversâ licence and own reliable transport to arrive on site as per requirements
