We Go Beyond for A Safer World Te Tūranga - The Role As an Intermediate Software Engineer, you'll contribute to the development of innovative applications on Embedded Linux platforms, working on integrating multiple systems and ensuring high-quality solutions.
This role offers opportunities to grow your technical skills, collaborate within a supportive team, and make a tangible impact on Tait's product offerings.
Your key responsibilities will include: Developing software applications for Embedded Linux platforms, ensuring they meet user needs and company standards.
Collaborating with architects, senior engineers, and other stakeholders to align with the product development strategy.
Participating in key aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with a focus on learning and delivering high-quality solutions.
Supporting system integration efforts, ensuring seamless interaction between multiple components.
Assisting with testing strategies, including contributing to automated testing frameworks, to maintain product reliability.
Supporting the product lifecycle by addressing customer feedback and contributing to improvements.Ō pūkenga - About You To be successful in this role, you'll bring:2-4 years of experience in software development, with exposure to Embedded Linux platforms.
Experience with strongly typed languages such as C++ or similar.
A strong willingness to learn and improve your skills in system integration and testing.
Familiarity with cloud principles, SDLC practices, and automated testing frameworks.
A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for contributing to team success.
Clear and effective communication skills to align with project goals and contribute to a positive team environment.
