Cambridge Sushi Fairfield is a bustling sushi establishment in Hamilton, and we are currently seeking two full-time kitchenhands to join our team.
This is a full-time permanent position, with shifts commencing at 4 am.
You will work at least 30 hours per week, with an hourly rate ranging from $28.20 to $30.00 depending on your skills, qualifications, and work experience.
Relevant work experience or qualifications are preferred but not essential, as basic training will be given when you start the job.
Experience and skills of making sushi will be a huge advantage.
We expect candidates to:

Hold NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa with unlimited work rights.
Be drug-free with a clean police record.
Have flexibility to work in early mornings at 4 am, weekends, and public holidays.
Physically fit-be capable of lifting heavy items such as fully-filled rice cookers, soup pots, and rice bags (up to 25kg).

Key duties will include:

Cleaning kitchen, food preparation areas and sculleries
Cleaning cooking and general utensils used in kitchen
Transferring, weighing and checking supplies and equipment
Assembling and preparing ingredients for cooking, and preparing soup, rice bowl and simple sushi rolls
Packing food and beverage trays for serving
Cooking and heating simple food items
And any other duties assigned by the owner
