Auckland, New Zealand Tradify Limited Full time

We are growing and are looking for an experienced engineering leader to help us scale our engineering team at Tradify, the world’s best job management software for Tradies.
You will lead a team of managers overseeing software engineering and quality assurance practices.
You will be tasked with setting the technical architecture vision, steering technical work in that direction and supervising the delivery of all technology projects and processes.
You will have a high EQ and solid leadership qualities, to get the most out of an engaged team.
You’ll be challenged with an exciting sense of ambition from the product vision and roadmap - with plenty of big-ticket items to work on, and the need for global scalable solutions to infrastructure and architecture.

Key Responsibilities: Leading and fostering a positive team-oriented environment to develop a complex software platform.
Define architecture and design technical solutions to achieve business objectives.
Defining and overseeing the use of tools and processes for development and production infrastructure.
Ensure the programme of work and outputs are aligned with the business objectives.
Overseeing the infrastructure on which the Tradify platform runs.
Balance a variety of concurrent work streams, executing full lifecycle software development.
Oversee well-designed, testable, efficient code.
Produce specifications and determine operational feasibility.
Integrate software components into a fully functional software system.
Develop software verification plans and quality assurance procedures.
Document and maintain software functionality.
Tailor and deploy software tools, processes and metrics.
Requirements:10+ years of experience developing commercial web applications and/or mobile apps.
Experience in design implementation of large-scale, high-traffic consumer-facing sites is a huge plus.
Detailed knowledge of web application development and extensive experience using.
NET, C# and Javascript as well as relational databases such as SQL Server.
Proven hands-on experience with Java Script frameworks such as Angular, React or similar.
Ability to develop software in C# with OOP/OOA principles.
Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (EF).
Experience developing web apps with at least one popular framework (JSF, Wicket, GWT, Spring MVC).
Experience with modern front-end web frameworks and patterns in CSS, HTML, JS and JS libraries.
Experience with Amazon Web Services and associated tools.
Experience with version control systems such as git.
Experience in building or working on a metrics/analytics/business intelligence system.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and contribute to new ideas required in a diverse, fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment.
Organisation and analytic skills, with strong problem-solving ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Great people skills (you’ll know how to communicate with team members and have some fun).
Knowing the trade-off between server-side performance and features.
Having the ability to come up with innovative solutions to scalability and performance problems.
Experience with test-driven development.
Ability to document requirements and specifications.
Familiarity with software development methodology and release processes.
