Reporting to the Head of Cloud Technology and Delivery, this role will be working across multiple projects, ensuring the success of Kordia’s Cloud Managed Services.
Ko tā mātou mahi - About the role The Cloud Ops Team Lead is responsible for managing and coaching a team of Cloud Engineers to deliver service outcomes across Kordia’s Cloud Managed Services Portfolio.
Working closely with Project Managers, Consultants, Cloud Engineers, as well as clients and third parties, this role is designed to enable Kiwi businesses with Cloud solutions.
To be successful, the candidate will need to have significant experience in IT service management, strong influencing and negotiating skills at all levels, a strategic outlook, and demonstrable experience with Dev Ops, SRE, Agile and other disciplines.
Experience having mentored and coached a team is essential.

Your key accountabilities will include: Mentor, coach and take responsibility for day-to-day team management of the Cloud Ops team Successfully deliver outcomes of all Cloud managed service products Develop and maintain processes, tools, templates, reports Develop Cloud Ops team culture, frameworks, and team cadence Na tōu rourou - What you will bring Demonstrable experience of leading, coaching and mentoring a team to drive successful outcomes8+ years of experience in the IT industry General knowledge of IT systems and Cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of cloud services, virtualization, networking, and storage systems Formal Agile or Project Management certification preferred Experience working with technical teams to consult, implement and support IT solutions Aptitude for understanding and resolving problems The ability to foster an open, collaborative environment that encourages quality, innovation, ongoing learning, and knowledge sharing Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex issues in a way that engages both technical and business leaders Kordia delivers mission-critical technology and network solutions across New Zealand, Australia, and the South Pacific.
