About the role

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist to join the passionate team at FLOSS in Christchurch. FLOSS is a Dental Hygiene Clinic led by a Dental Hygienist, who knows the importance of your role, and a happy clinician

What you'll be doing

  • Providing comprehensive oral health assessments and dental hygiene treatments to patients
  • Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of preventative dental care
  • Maintaining detailed patient records and ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date
  • Promoting a positive and friendly environment for patients throughout their visits
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations and maintaining a clean, sterile work environment
  • Potential for Oral Health Therapists to practice Dental Skills

What we're looking for

  • A DCNZ registered Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist (experience preferred but not essential)
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to educate and engage with patients
  • A very motivated individual who is good at taking initiative and working on their own
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for quality
  • A passion for oral health and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of our patients

What we offer

FLOSS' number one commitment is to the team. A happy, thriving team, in return helps us give our patients our BEST care. In return FLOSS will ask you to work hard in different ways. We have a unique set-up to the more commonly known dental practice. We have just one room in each clinic, therefore will not work on-site together.

We now have 2 clinics in Christchurch, and have the following opportunities:

Strowan: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (all 3 ideal please) & Saturdays

Rolleston: Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday (not all essential)

If you wanted to work full-time and happy to work between both practices, also an option

There is also potential to expand our services to Therapy roles for any OHT's applying.

Pay: Contractor- % of each patient (self-employed)

Uniform & all equipment provided.

Total transparency: FLOSS has just turned 2, therefore the books are still growing. But between both practices are starting to look really healthy. However the new openings will be the monday, tuesday, fridays at Rolleston so those days might take time to build.
