About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Advisor to join our high-performing and collaborative HR team in Auckland on a permanent basis.

In the Payroll Advisor role you will:

  1. Provide accurate and timely payroll and benefits service to our employees.
  2. Work collaboratively with the HR and Finance teams to deliver payroll in line with our processes and procedures.
  3. Respond to payroll queries and deliver effective and efficient management and resolution of payroll requests.
  4. Support key HR processes, e.g. annual salary review, administrating leave during the Christmas shutdown period, administrating extended hours, etc.
  5. Lead maintenance of all employee information in BambooHR and Datapay.
  6. Manage onboarding and offboarding of employees.
  7. Complete regular and ad hoc reporting.
  8. Provide back up for the HR Coordinator role as required.
  9. Assist the HR team with projects.

About you

  1. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a payroll role in New Zealand.
  2. A comprehensive understanding of New Zealand payroll legislation (Holidays Act 2023, Wages Protection Act 1983, etc.).
  3. Proficiency in payroll systems, ideally Datapay, and advanced MS Excel skills.
  4. High attention to detail.
  5. Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
  6. Exceptional customer service skills.
  7. 'Can do' attitude, desire to go the extra mile, be flexible and work collaboratively across teams.
