The Service | Ko Te Whare O Beach Haven POC
Beach Haven POC (Package of Care) provides care and support to people who are experiencing some barriers due to their mental wellbeing. The clients are being supported on their journey to independence in collaboration with their community support workers, friends and whanau. Support covers 7 days a week with rostered shifts. Currently, most of the clients are living within the Beach Haven area in a variety of separate flats/houses. The successful candidate will be based at the Apollo Head Office, ensuring support is delivered to the clients as per the plan.

The role of Community Support Worker is to provide support to service users based on their identified need in achieving the optimal level of wellness, functioning and quality of life. This will be achieved by appropriate use of assessment, practical support skills, advocacy and co-ordination. High-quality service will be provided in line with our vision: in partnership towards healthy communities and our mission - People living satisfying lives of their choice.
You will | Nga Pukenga
• Have a National Certificate in Health and Wellbeing Level 4 or equivalent
• Hold a Full NZ Drivers Licence
• Be eligible to work in NZ and have a valid/current work visa, residency, or citizenship
• Have a passion for walking alongside those in need, supporting ongoing goals on the pathway to recovery.
• Have excellent communication skills to support the success in the role as well as help build and maintain relationships while networking in the community.
• Work as an integral part of a team with other members.
