About the role

Join this specialist building services consultancy as a Hydraulic Engineer based in the Auckland CBD. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the installation of plumbing, drainage, and other hydraulic systems in a variety of construction projects across the commercial, high-rise residential, and educational sectors. As a key member of the engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality buildings that meet all relevant building and safety standards.

The role:

  1. Conducting site surveys and assessments to understand project requirements and constraints
  2. Designing efficient and compliant hydraulic systems, including water supply, plumbing & drainage, waste disposal, etc.
  3. Preparing detailed technical drawings and specifications for hydraulic installations
  4. Monitoring the installation of hydraulic systems to ensure they meet design specifications and quality standards
  5. Troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arise during the construction process

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Building Services engineering
  2. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Hydraulic Engineer, preferably in the consulting industry
  3. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring compliance with relevant building codes and regulations
  4. Proficient in the use of Revit MEP software and other engineering design tools
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
