The role: Lead the way | arahi i te huarahi

We are looking for a Trade Sales Supervisor at our Rotorua branch, this will see you ensuring the branch provides exceptional customer service to clients within the industry.

This role requires a leader who will be involved in all aspects of running the trade area, deliveries of stock out to our customers and being able to lead the branch in the absence of the branch manager.

You will also focus on coaching and developing your team, in addition to coordinating their daily schedules, knowledge of the plumbing industry would be preferable, or previous experience in team management in the trade/building/construction arena, but your attitude will go a long way with us at Plumbing World.

We are looking for someone who is dedicated to driving results and have strong relationship-building skills, as this is a high level customer service position that requires a person with strong communication, & leadership capabilities.

Reporting to the Branch Manager your role is to provide support to the branch manager and your team by assisting in the supervision of staff and dealing with all customer queries and sales procedures in a responsible and mature manner.

Plumbing World is committed to our customer service promise, and we are focused on exceeding customers' expectations, so it's all hands-on deck at the trade counter before 9am no matter your role in the branch, this is to ensure customers are looked after straight away and they get what they need to start their day.

As Trade Supervisor with Plumbing World you will:
  • Be responsible for ensuring efficient day-to-day running of the Trade area
  • Prioritise workload to ensure important projects are handled with urgency
  • Provide strong customer service to trade accounts & offer advice when needed
  • Build strong relationships with key clients and team members alike
  • Lead by example, you will not only be operationally strong, and an inspiring leader, but able to demonstrate by your own service and sales ability
  • Provide leadership and take responsibility for the Health and Safety within the branch
  • Ensure the Branch Inventory Controller is kept informed of any warehouse stock issues
The successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment medical and drug test prior to the commencement of employment.
