Your New Role
We are currently recruiting for a Technology & Innovation Director to join the Sydney business on a contract basis to deliver a new R&D facility. This is a broad role that will provide leadership across all aspects of the project including design, process creation, governance as well as engaging strategic vendor alliances. This role is critical in ensuring alignment between the Engineering, Manufacturing/logistics and IT verticals as well as engagement with regional leadership, Steering committees and external partners.

Some key tasks may include:

  1. Ensure the IT PMO is adequately resourced and meeting objectives whilst identifying streamlining opportunities.
  2. Participate in the creative project planning, with a focus on sound governance and clear framework that is widely communicated.
  3. Proactively identify risks or issues with the IT PMO and take corrective action to maintain delivery objectives.
  4. Collate and analyse performance data to present reporting to senior management.
  5. Oversee the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs), documentation and protocols for the plant operations of the R&D facility.
  6. Develop and roll out staff training programs on the R&D operations.

About You
You will hold a professional qualification in your field as well as formal certifications in project management or process improvement/best practice. You have IT leadership experience within high-performance environments that has seen you work across other technical business disciplines (e.g., manufacturing/engineering/Pharma/Biotech/Science/Medical). You are experienced at delivering large-scale projects with prior exposure to leading Greenfields/Brownfields projects being highly regarded. Are highly experienced in IT Project Management, where you are able to operate in detail as required whilst maintaining the bigger picture strategy. Have a successful track record of developing SOPs, protocols and delivering 'best practice' processes. Are able to demonstrate governance ownership in your prior roles, with exposure to regulated or global governance framework being sought after experience. You can demonstrate Operational leadership that goes beyond IT, where you have an understanding of good governance and best practice in other business verticals. You will have the ability to engage, influence and inspire confidence in those around you including senior leadership.
