Responsibilities
- Medication administration
- Perform patient / client assessments.
- Patient and family health teaching
- Monitor, assess and document changes in patient / client condition.
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to determine and implement patient care plan.
- Additional opportunities as assigned by Nursing Supervisor
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current registration with the College of Nurses and must be in good standing.
- Familiar with equipment including monitors, intravenous (IV) pumps, ventilators, and feeding tubes.
- Tracheostomy and ventilation care experience is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in community Nursing is considered an asset.
- Current CPR / First Aid Certification
- Vulnerable Sector Screening (within 3 months of hire)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to follow patient / client care plan.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent patient service skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle is considered an asset.
