About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Logistics and Operations Manager to lead their operations in and around Queenstown . This role is essential for optimizing the flow of goods, managing warehouse operations, and ensuring efficient transportation networks. You will be responsible for strategic planning, process improvement, and team leadership to enhance overall supply chain performance and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, warehousing, and supply chain management, with a proven ability to drive efficiency and cost savings in a dynamic operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of logistics, including warehousing, inventory management, and transportation.
- Develop and implement efficient logistical strategies to reduce costs and improve delivery times.
- Manage warehouse operations, ensuring optimal space utilization, safety, and accuracy.
- Supervise and mentor the logistics and warehouse team, fostering a culture of productivity and continuous improvement.
- Negotiate with carriers and vendors to secure favorable rates and service agreements.
- Utilize logistics software and systems to track shipments, manage inventory, and analyze operational performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics and operations management .
- Proven experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and transportation planning.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in relevant logistics management software .
