About the role

As an Area Supervisor at Advanced Facility Care, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our cleaning services across the Palmerston North Central & Manawatu region. This full-time position is central to ensuring the exceptional delivery of our high-quality cleaning services to our valued clients. This is a hands-on role.

What you'll be doing

  • Supervising and coordinating a team of cleaners to complete cleaning tasks to the highest standards
  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor the quality of work and address any issues
  • Providing coaching, training, and support to the cleaning team to continuously improve performance
  • Liaising with clients to understand their needs and ensure their satisfaction with our services
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to cleaning schedules, timesheets, and inventory
  • Covering sites where required
  • 50% of this role will be cleaning sites and specialist works
  • Assisting with the recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling of cleaning staff as needed
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing efficient cleaning practices

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role within the cleaning or facilities services industry
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
  • A keen eye for detail and the ability to ensure high standards of cleanliness are consistently met
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach to problem-solving
  • A valid NZ driver's license
