Training and ACC Sensitive Claims Coordinator

The Role

This rewarding dual coordination role supports both the ACC Sensitive Claims service and the Health Coach training programme. As a key member of the Wellness Support Team, you will work closely with operational and clinical leads to enhance service delivery and ensure excellence in vocational training.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Referral Coordination: Manage and coordinate referrals for the ACC Sensitive Claims service, ensuring timely and effective support for patients and track and manage ACC claiming.
  • Training Support: Coordinate the delivery of the accredited Health Coach training programme by providing organisational support and ensuring seamless training processes.
  • Collaboration: Foster a patient-centred approach while optimising efficiency and service quality.

What You'll Bring:

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Social Sciences) – or current students close to completing their degree.

Experience:

  • Ideally, some experience working with Māori, Pacific, or Asian communities.
  • Coordination or administrative experience, preferably within healthcare or social services.

Skills:

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build trusting relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • A proactive, empathetic, and flexible approach to challenges.

Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with primary and/or mental health care systems (advantageous).

Recognised as the Best Mental Health Programme at the last New Zealand Primary Healthcare Awards, the WST provides holistic support to individuals, whānau, and communities.

We deliver integrated services within GP clinics, offering a mix of individual, couple, whānau, and group interventions. Our diverse team includes therapists, health coaches, wellness advisors, clinical pharmacists, and more, all dedicated to improving health outcomes.
