Our Disability Support Services reflect our belief that all New Zealanders deserve to live fully, have equal opportunities, and achieve their ambitions.We are committed to enabling good lives for all, with a strong focus on self-determination, early intervention, and person-centred support.We are looking for a part-time Support Worker in Hamilton, to provide support for Rangitahi and Tamariki and their families, fostering their self-determination and empowering them to lead a valued life on their own terms.The hours for this role will start at 5-10 per week with the opportunity to increase these hours over time.What does a Support Worker do?|He aha te mahi a te Kaimahi TautokoAs a support worker, your primary role is to facilitate the family's journey toward a valued life of their choosing. You will actively engage with them in a hands-on capacity and collaborate closely with them.Your tasks will encompass a range of activities including grocery shopping, meal planning, preparation and cooking, laundry, light cleaning, and household support. As a support worker, your goal is to provide assistance so they can maintain their active participation in daily living, both at home and in the community.
