Job Description

About the Mahi (Role)

We have an opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join the Gisborne clinic.

You will report to the Clinic Manager and will be a key member of our Vocational Rehabilitation and Hospital and Community teams for the Gisborne and Te Tairāwhiti region.

We support a variety of clients who have ACC, Insured, or Private conditions through an integrated care approach. We have ACC contracts including Integrated Care Pathway, Vocational Rehab Services, Pain Management, and Training for Independence. We also provide Early Intervention to nationwide businesses such as Countdown, Downer, Department of Conservation, and Ministry of Social Development staff.

You will be passionate about improving health equity in rehabilitation and supporting clients in their recovery.

A good understanding of te reo Māori, tikanga, and cultural safety or someone keen to progress their understanding and learning of te ao Māori would be sought after. In the Te Tairāwhiti region, the Māori population is around 45%, so we are passionate about improving access and providing a quality service both clinically and culturally to Māori in the region.

Ideally, you will be able to work full-time (40 hours per week). However, we can offer flexibility in work hours for the right candidate.

The work is rewarding, and we can allow you to play to your strengths.

Benefits of joining TBI Health

For your ongoing commitment and passion to TBI Health, you will be able to access the benefits below:

  • Subsidised health insurance with Southern Cross
  • Annual wellness allowance

  • Opportunity to work in the clinic, community, or from home
  • Supportive working environment

….. and many more benefits such as discounts on products/services with brand partners

About the Gisborne Team

As part of the Gisborne team, you will be working within a beautiful, modern clinic with quality rehab equipment to support various clients. Our clinic is situated close to the Balance Street Village which includes two great cafes, Village Berry Ice Cream, Pharmacy 53, and Neighbourhood Pizzeria.
