About the role:
MediCross Urgent Care and GP Clinic is seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Director with a strong business acumen to join our team in our New Plymouth Central Taranaki clinic. This full-time, leadership role is responsible for overseeing the clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centric healthcare services. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader who can bridge the gap between clinical practice and business operations.
What you'll be doing:
- Play a pivotal role in shaping the clinical strategy and operational excellence of our organization.
- Have a unique blend of clinical expertise and business insight to drive quality care, enhance patient outcomes and ensure financial sustainability of our medical programs.
- Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols and procedures to maintain the highest standards of patient care.
- Oversee the clinical operations of the clinic, including managing staffing, scheduling and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the team to establish strategic goals and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant medical regulations, standards and best practices.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, professional development and patient-centered care.
- Represent the clinic in the local medical community and participate in relevant professional associations.
What we're looking for:
- Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of Urgent Care (RNZCUC) or working towards Fellowship.
- Current Practicing Certificate.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior medical leadership role, preferably in a primary care or urgent care setting.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a multi-disciplinary healthcare team and drive clinical excellence.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, standards and best practices in New Zealand.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
- Commitment to continuous improvement and fostering a positive, patient-centric culture.
