The role/Te mahi

The Asset Management Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate asset data within the University's IWMS, ensuring records reflect asset condition, lifespan, and maintenance history. They contribute to high-level maintenance plans and collaborate with Trade and Technical Services to identify emerging issues. The coordinator maintains and updates the three-year minor capital works schedule, administers asset renewal programs, ensures project planning aligns with budgets, reconciles cost data, and oversees the approval process for minor capital works. This role will include risk management responsibilities, overseeing seismic assessments, maintaining accurate risk tracking tools, and facilitating the procurement of consultants for asset condition evaluations and seismic assessments.

With a solid background in facility management, administration, and procurement processes, you will excel at building and maintaining strong networks and key relationships, making you a valuable partner in this role.

You will have experience with Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS), and experience in data collection, analysis, and database management.

  • A recognised qualification relevant to the role.
  • Knowledge of property or infrastructure asset management principles and standards.
  • A customer-centric and solutions-focused approach.
  • Skilled at problem-solving, with excellent time management to ensure well-planned workloads.
  • Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Dedication to working in a culturally safe and respectful manner and demonstrated understanding and appreciation of Te Ao Māori, Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles, and Pasifika values.

This is a full-time (37.5 hours), permanent position, located in Ōtepoti, Dunedin.

You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand to apply for this position.

The salary level for this position is provisionally evaluated as Level 5 - $67,566 to $72,086, Top of Range $77,570, and may be subject to change.
