About the job:

Are you a talented writer with a knack for crafting compelling narratives that win business? We are looking for an experienced Bid Writer to join our team, based in Christchurch or Auckland, reporting to the National Bid Manager.

As our Bid Writer, you'll be at the heart of our business development process, responsible for creating high-quality, engaging, and persuasive bid responses. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to gather information, tailor content, and present Citycare Water as the partner of choice. You will:

• Write clear, concise, and impactful bid submissions that highlight Citycare Water expertise, track record, and the value we bring.
• Collaborate with business development, marketing, digital and operations teams to manage and enhance various marketing, technical and bid materials for our clients and their processes.
• Ensure all qualitative responses meet the highest standards, showcasing our capabilities and aligning with client requirements.
• Conduct thorough research to understand client needs and tailor responses accordingly, ensuring they meet client expectations.
• Ensure all bid submissions undergo a thorough approval process, verifying content accuracy. Maintain and enhance our attribute library, ensuring that it reflects the highest standards of what we offer clients.

What you'll need:

• A bachelor's degree in professional writing, communications, marketing or a related field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years' experience in bid writing.
• Experience bid writing within the Water or Infrastructure sector is preferred.
• Familiarity with local government tendering processes would be advantageous.
• Experience delivering high-quality content under pressure to meet deadlines is a must

Your sound commitment to HSE, quality assurance, alignment with Citycare Water's values and a commitment to upholding Te Mana O te Wai will allow you to be successful in this role.

All preferred candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks to the employer's satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
