Checkout Supervisor

About the role

This full-time role is ideal for experienced customer service professionals looking to apply their expertise in a leadership position, as well as motivated individuals eager to develop themselves.

As a Checkout Supervisor, you'll help shape the customer experience, leading by example, motivating and inspiring our frontline team across Checkout, Customer Services, Lotto and Café. As a key member of our team, you'll also serve as a Duty Manager, ensuring regulatory compliance in the sale of restricted goods.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and coach the Customer Services team to deliver great customer service.
• Oversee daily operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation.
• Ensure regulatory compliance, particularly in the sale of restricted goods.

Hours

Full-time hours, specific hours to be discussed at the interview stage. New World Centre City operates from 07:30am – 10:00pm, 7 days a week, shift patterns to include a weekend day and evening shifts.

About you

• 2+ years' experience in a Customer Services role, ideally with Supervision or Management experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for creating positive customer experiences.
• Liquor Controllers Qualification (LCQ) and Duty Managers Licence (DM), or willingness to acquire.
• Commitment to personal and professional growth.
