We are currently seeking a :

Technical Director
Auckland

With a strong technical/game development background, the Technical Director is responsible for the entire studio programming department
In close relationship with studio manager, producers and worldwide technical director, the technical director ensures projects are delivered on time while targeting the best experience and quality.
As part of an already established team (Game Designers, Game Developers, Graphic Designers, Producer), your mission will be to drive and participate to the development of all our 3D and 2D projects on multiple platforms Ios/Android/Web.

Responsibilities :

-Responsible for all technology/architecture and processes choices
-Supervise/participate to all projects from staffing, technology/tools choices, risks evaluation, dependencies with other projects to ensure the best quality is achieved
-Recommends solutions and approves plans and roadmaps
-Ensure code quality , code reviewing
-Drives staff capabilities & career path : performance/expertise tracking, training , recruiting & succession planning in coordination with HR,
-Work in relation with other worldwide studios technical directors to improve the company programming standards and engines

Requirements

Technical Profile

-Degree in Computer Engineering/Science or equivalent professional experience
-Expertise in C/C++ , OOP Design , programming practices
-Working knowledge on working knowledge on game development entire pipeline
-Strong knowledge in several domains (Rendering , Animation , Multiplayer, Sound, Tools, AI , Scripting , Optimisation)
-Able to understand any task performed by a developer
-Problem solving skills : identifying issues and promoting solutions and optimizations

Nice to have

-6 years of technical experience in game development / several game titles already shipped
-Experience with middlewares ( UDK /Unity )
-Experience with scripting/interpreted language ( Python / Lua /C# / Java )
-Experience with graphics tools ( 3dsMax, Photoshop)
-Experience in social gaming

Management

-You are autonomous, dynamic, and you love working in a team.
-Your interpersonal and organizational skills allow you to lead a project to completion within given time constraints.
-You have a solid understanding of the English language in order to follow un on projects handled by English-speaking teams.
