Job Description:

Summerset St Johns is a beautifully landscaped, brand new, premium village on a 2.5 hectare site located in the heart of the eastern suburbs, with spectacular views looking out to Rangitoto Island. The village opened late last year and offers an exquisite village centre with a bar and bistro, enviable resort-style facilities, and Summerset's renowned continuum of care.

About the Role:
At Summerset, we place high value on providing an exceptional dining experience for our residents and visitors. To provide this we have implemented a new food strategy, to enhance the overall dining experience for our residents and visitors. Therefore, we are looking for a Kitchen Assistant who has a genuine interest in providing quality services. This is a FULL TIME ROLE working a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Following the requirements of the Food Control Plan to ensure that all elements are completed as documented
  • Cleaning of all kitchen surfaces including washing dishes and removing rubbish from the kitchen
  • Working with the chef to unload and put away stock
  • Supporting the chef with food preparation

You will be outgoing, friendly and have a can-do attitude accompanied by great communication skills. To be successful you will bring:

  • Top class customer service to ensure a great experience for our residents and their guests
  • The ability to provide high quality and timely support for the Chef
